My goal is the following: During this school year, my professional goal will be to explore, implement, and improve on C and D Quadrant activities in the classroom. This will enable my students to utilize their higher order thinking skills as well as develop life-long learning skills.
Jake, are you talking about Quadrants C & D on the Rigor & Relevance Framework? I'd love to hear more aobut your plans!
ReplyDeleteYes Kara, I am trying to implement more C and D activities or guided questions, etc. in the Rigor and Relevance framework. I feel I am doing a good job of setting of framework, or higher order thinking questions in various activities so far; but creating larger C and D activities is, as expected, quite challenging.
ReplyDeleteI am having trouble coming up with solid and relative C and D quadrant activities for my students. I want to avoid "spoon feeding" information to my students. Any suggestions on ways to incorporate deeper level thinking on topics that are challenging to do so?
